The Committee on Improving Student Life, or COISL, issued its final report last Tuesday and presented the document to the new Senate.
The report calls for three committees to be formed by the Senate president and the president of the College that COISL determined are "the most pressing and problematic concerns of students"- college communication, Hendrix identity and spirit and housing and residential life.
Other, more short-term solutions listed in the report call for the reinstitution of a "town crier," a member of Senate that would "stand at a centralized location on campus and cry out events of importance to students."
Senate president and sophomore Amy Hillard liked the idea.
Another short-term solution to student life issues would be a student activity board that would help alleviate conflicts in scheduling events and provide ideas for new ones.
