When walking into Chi's Chinese, a fountain and a small pond filled with those large, colorful Asian fish greet the restaurant's patrons. A glance behind the hostess's stand finds a collection of awards that the restaurant has won. The décor in the restaurant is tasteful and tame—nothing too obnoxious or overdone.

After being promptly seated in the large, quiet restaurant, a look at the menu proves to be an exciting adventure. The menu is quite expansive, with a wealth of options for those of us who enjoy seafood, beef, poultry, and pork. The vegetarian options are also plentiful.

The best bet seems to be the Emperor's Dinner. This dinner lets the diner choose from a list of about 20 different entrees. Then one gets a choice of soup; exciting choices include Wonton, egg drop, and sweet-and-sour soups.

It also comes with an egg roll, a fried crab Rangoon, and a rib in a sweet, cherry sauce. After the meal, a Chinese dessert is served, which is basically a small piece of spice cake and a part of an orange. This montage of food in the Emperor's Dinner is just $10.95.

I chose the Sichuan Beef. This wonderful and spicy beef dish came with shredded beef in a Sichuan sauce.

Also in the mix were onions, green and red peppers, noodles, and snow peas. It comes on a platter, with a plate on which the hungry diner can pile either pork fried or steamed rice. Best bets are on the pork fried rice, which is far more delicious, as it has bits of carrots and corn.

However, by the time one makes it through the soup and appetizers, the large entrée seems almost too much.

Not to fear, the unbeatable servers are delighted to bring take out trays and more rice. Often, the take-out is enough for another entire meal.

Chi's Chinese Cuisine offers a wealth of options on the menu for everyone. They also have a full bar with Asian varieties of beer for yet another surprising treat.

The food is tasty. There are options for everyone whether his or her desire is for spicy food or sweet food. The servings are large. And take-out food for the next meal is another delight.

So when one wants to forgo the usual Chinese buffet, a trip to Chi's Chinese Cuisine offers predictable and delicious Chinese cuisine in a tasteful, quiet atmosphere.
